If you are reading this, and we warned you not to, here is why....

When we left the Grand Canyon we drove for a few hours that night and stayed in lovely Needles, California, right on the border of Arizona. So thats it, just where we slept for the night, before we headed up to Yosemite National Park.

We just wanted our map to be accurate, hence the reason for this post.

Till Yosemite, a real post you can read.

Nic and Jess
Needles, California, United States nicandjessica... their actual slogan by the way. We had another unscheduled hike along the natural beeches, through a cactus garden, saw a few hares and chipmunks, spoke to a Yugoslavian religious fanatic, bathed in the smell of **** as Paul mentioned. And to cap it off, beat Paul at chess in just over an hour. Gotta watch that Queen Paul, or i'll have my way with her everytime heh heh.
Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States cozbieEnroute to Grand Canyon, we made a quick pit-stop at Lake Havasu City, to break the journey and to visit the original London Bridge. The City of London sold the bridge to the founder of Lake Havasu and it was dismantled in the UK and reassembled in the USA brick by brick. The bridge looks just like the one in London, just more pristine.

Urban legend has it that the silly American actually intended to purchase Tower Bridge, but thought that it was called London Bridge.

Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States wrodar... my birdie putt...you can't have everything. The next par 3 was a 141 yarder with I made the green in regulation using a 7 iron. You had an amazing view of the mountains from this hole. I had some time to wait since I caught up to a group ahead of me. Fortunately, they let me play through. I played the back nine in 46 for a satisfying sub 100 round. Interestingly, most of the holes on this course routed away from the ...
Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States ndsquirrel... with a couple that I met at another campground 3 weeks ago. I love the biking and campground networks. Its like you have instant friends once you enter the gates of a campground. Thanks Rick and Vicki for the food. I rode another 5 miles with the sunsetting on a full stomach. I slept in the middle of the desert right on the 62 before Vidal Junction. What a feeling to sleep in a completely desolate place.
Vidal Junction, California, United States jabuofr... were few people about and we ended up walking along the waterfront through the 'English Village' and crossing the bridge before we found a cafe serving breakfast. It was delightful sitting in the sun overlooking the water. This town doesn't seem to wake up until late in the morning. A walk along the waterfront took us out to the Lake. Everyone we met greeted us as we passed - hmm, friendly place. We turned back at this point ...
