The dinner venue was the Juke Joint which serves southern food combined with live jazz and soul music. The service was very poor and slow however the food was good, music great and the people really very friendly. A familiar scene for us. Girls up early eagerly awaiting the alarm, bags mostly packed, Matt and Jen preparing mentally for a four hour drive (more so regarding sanity than traffic)...'we're on the road again'. This was formally our last US leg drive. Breakfast, car packed, four chocolate cookies from Reception received and we were ready to leave Charlotte.

Best Wi-fi access: This award goes to where it all began, my little room at Hostel Fernando in Barcelona. It was not only free, but the connection was strong and uploading pictures was super fast.

Greatest Little Annoyance: They don't use washcloths in Spain, or at least the hotels don't provide them. Some had sponges.

Best "Monument": This would have to be a three-way tie among Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, ...

Like a hotel where I walk in the revolving door, stand in the lobby while I say hey to the few friends I can grab for about 1 min each, listen to a presentation, and then walk back out the revolving door.
