On our trip west from New Hampshire, we would stop in areas that peaked our interest or was one of our "must see" destinations and we would stay for a week or more, so it was important that the campground was to our suiting. We ate a so-so dinner buffet at the Trails End Restaurant at the ...

On Saturday we met up again at a massive trampoline place where we played dodgeball before going to Julie's family's mansion for the Iron Bowl. Although Auburn lost, we had a great time and Jason and I wound up staying the night there before leaving Sunday afternoon to head back to Columbus. It was a great weekend and I really enjoyed the chance to meet Tom and Jason's ...

... I knew Birmingham was an iron producing city, but I didn't realize that all the ingredients for iron - iron ore, coal, and limestone - are all present in Birmingham. If you come to Birmingham, I recommend you come see the statue and the museum, if you have the time. If you were wondering, Birmingham no longer produces iron and steel. Like the other major steel producing cities in the US, that production has ceased.
