Yes, we are finally on our way -- after months of planning! We left Vermilion on Sunday, March 15th, and had a beautiful drive south on I-65 through Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. The further south we got the more green we started seeing -- spring is definitely coming! Do you hear that Vermilion! The extended forecast showed rain on Monday, so our best option for a walking tour was the Sunday we were scheduled to arrive in Charleston. The best tour available for us was at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. To make this time, we would need to get up at 4:00 ...

Menu Item: Fried Chicken Wing, Breast, and Thigh with Fried Okra and Mac n' Cheese on the side

Notes: Rated best fried chicken in America at one time. The sweet tea was also voted #1 in Charleston.

Comments: The fried chicken had a soft, crispy skin that ...
