... to heal your foot pain if you soak them in it. Of course I couldn't resist. We'll see if it ends up curing my ills! It was a nice rest. I was there for over a half hour and not a single person came while I was there until the very end. The tall smiley guy emerged and was sad about the albergue being closed. We were both looking forward to having a cafe con leche... :( Oh well, continue on! The next stop was Hontanas, the place I ...

Well, Brierley's guidebook says Castrojeriz appears to be in perpetual siesta and that is certainly true in the morning. We have entered a region that prefers to sleep in! After being conditioned in the Basque country to rise and leave early, up at 6 am, eat, and hit the trail by 6:30-6:45, here the bars do not open ...

... In any case my feet could not have gone any further and getting in around 1pm will now give me maximum hours until tomorrow morning before I have to take off again.I had a quick look inside the dorms and they didn't look too bad.

I had a snooze for an hour and then into the shower and had a very short wander around town in my much welcomed pair of thongs.A wonderful self prepared meal of jamon, sardines and ...
