We are home, refrig is empty, grass needs mowing but house is perfect thanks to a great house sitter over the past 4 and a half weeks.

Traveled 5838 miles averaged 33.3 MPG. Saw gas prices as low as $1.96 and as high as $2.79 in good old NYS. Our 2 year old Subaru now has over 50,000 miles on it!

Saw some more of our Beautiful country especially the UP of Michigan. We now lack just Alabama to see all the states. Need ...

Scenic drive through upstate New York

        Campground $30
        Gas $2.39

Very scenic drive through New York State, heading toward the Adirondacks - the trees are very green but with some fall colours just starting. The campsite is rustic and very quiet, not too busy.

Highlights: Downtown Corning, beautiful town with old buildings and pretty parks

Rest stops are labelled "Text Stops" - very clever!

Hall of fame OMG worth every minute

... senses a time warp as it carried me right back to my youth ( as misspent as it was) and then meandered to present day.
The field behind the Hall is pretty special as well as I looked from the original grandstands to the field and it was easy to envision a game in progress.

To say the Baseball Hall of Fame is a very special place is an understatement I am truly thankful to have been there.
Oh by the way the Town is well worth the visit on its own.

... settle in for the night and tomorrow the Hall of Fame awaits reliving my youth and ball experiences. As well as a journey through the various years of my life and decades with players who I watched or read about, admired for their skills. Interesting how people you do not really know on a personal level can have an impact on your life.
Lin cooked an incredible dinner with bacon and Moose pancakes all very delicious I might add!!

... Historic Site is on the grounds to visit and Cooperstown is about a half hour away. Cooperstown is a quaint town with the Baseball Hall of Fame, restaurants, lake park, hotels, bed and breakfasts, wine trail and breweries. RV's can not park in downtown Cooperstown but they have free parking at three big lots outside of town Red, Yellow and Blue. The Yellow ...
