      ... side of the road, we were allowed to cross and as luck would have it, we were right outside the American National History Museum. Some of the stuff in there was amazing to see, especially the meteors. There was a huge one that had belonged to a tribe of Native Americans who had worshipped it and believed that it brought strength to their people. It was bigger than my van. You were allowed to touch it and take photos but I can't help wondering how it ended up ...

      ... for it, I had to get up and help before she woke the whole house!

      Waking early, I went for a walk. The mist was rising off the river, and I met a man born, bred and buttered in this county. As we chatted, he kept correcting my English pronunciation!

      The Butler Institute of Art featured lots super colorful abstract stuff, plus American Impressionists and portrait artists. My favorite piece was all purple and based on Romulus and Remus (Rome's foundation myth) and I took a video of it (accidentally erased) and there's no image available online. Deep breath... there will be more ...
