The day is here. The Gourds play tonight in Temple Texas and I will be there. Too cool.

... to get close to Dallas so I took 19 south. Nice two lane road but the speed limit was still 75mph. Needless to say I was pulling over like crazy to let folks get by.
Well we're in Waco Texas now just 1 1/2 hours from Austin and drive through Temple, where The Gourds are playing to get to Austin.
I get to sleep in tomorrow, have something to eat and aim to get to Austin around 9:30. I heard it is really going to be summer tomorrow in Austin.
Had a busy and memorable week in Waco, Texas.
Met some great people including Mark (RV Park owner) who gave us some great gifts, Brody our neighbour who also gave us some gifts, and another neighbour Curtis who was very helpful and gave us some homemade Peanut Toffee (to die for).

... Buddy into the shower area with me! Brrrrrrr! We were the only pop-up in our loop, but saw some popups in the other RV area. Our neighbors were nice, and there were two other sets of campers there that were also racing the Waco race. We were in camp site 21. The race was good, but difficult. I'm happy to have finished. The Race Organizers were dissapointing. Late starting, two and a half hours after finishing the race there still were not even preliminary results ...
