Another beautiful day for our journey to San Diego. We were away from Indian Palms by 10:15. Our journey took us south from Indio on Hwy 74 to I-15 into San Diego. It is approximately 135 miles but the first 50 are slow going as we are travelling over very high mountains and there are many sharp curves so the speed limit does not get much more than 40 mph. We were not out of the valley very far before the landscape is nothing but a rocky ...

So after our awful day travelling we slept in until midday and thought best to have a lazy day at the beach. We headed to mission beach, had some lunch, and bought a ball to mess around with at the beach! Pretty good waves and colder waters than expected! In the evening we headed to a nearby shopping centre, had some food and then went for a couple of drinks to pass the evening before retiring as we were still pretty knackered from the weekend and ...

Up early today as we wanted to be at the park before it opened at 10am. We had our free continental breakfast and drove the short 5km to SeaWorld. We had to pay $15 for parking before getting our tickets which were $85 each. We went straight to the Manta Ray RollerCoaster and didn't have to wait at all which was awesome. We got off in time for the hands on show with the dolphins where we got close enough to touch them. Then we went to ...

Today we spent the day at Seaworld San Diego. Nathan was not feeling 100% so he went back to the resort for a rest while the kids and I took in the shows and rides. Something we had been looking forward to for months, was seeing the Shamu killer whale show. It is fascinating to see how these huge creatures interact with their trainers, but the trainers no longer get ...

... a few views of the ocean. Then we received the call our room was ready. We are in room 203. Beautiful room, area very tropical. The hotel consists of several buildings, 2 pools, 2 restaurants, and gorgeous landscaping. The buildings all face a marina with boats. We explored after we checked in. An outdoor wedding was going on. Love the room, wood shutters, microwave, and fridg. We even have a Kurig coffee maker in our room. Plan to rest up a bit and go have a drink at the pool ...
