... cycling, rollerblading or walking along the path. We found a restaurant with a great view of the beach activities and had a delicious lunch of shrimp done in several different ways. Very good! Ready to find our hotel, Old Town Inn, we put in the address and to our surprise discovered we were only about 10 minutes away. I had been dreading the drive into the busy city but as it turned out it was a simple procedure and we soon were pulling ...

... and original dinner in Neighbours, a beer and ale house that had been recommended by the friendly cocktail waitress. This was our last day in La Jolla. It's been a good couple of days and it is certainly a very beautiful part of the coast. We're off to Vegas tomorrow where the temperature is forecast to be around 40 degrees ...

We got pointed to the main area and just walked over the main bridge in and out of Mexico, there ...

It's getting close to the next leg of our travels, when we pick up a car tomorrow and drive inland towards Palm Springs, where we will stay three nights. It's been great charging the batteries after our long flights and inevitable jet-lag - San Diego was a nice place to do just that. We had a good look round this big city and the old town hop-on-off trolley was a good way to get round. We laughed at our trolley driver, Dave, who was a ...

... We are tired after the flight. Plan to see the San Diego zoo tomorrow and avoid the crowds at the beach since its Memorial Day. Oh, forgot to mention, the beach and boardwalk is a 15 min walk. After a short rest we went to the pool bar and had a drink. Met a fella from San Jose who was originally from Boston. Interesting conversation. Then we went to mission beach and walked the Beach walk and went to the arcade and had a slice of pizza. Some some very young interesting young ...
