Fort Rosecrans National Cemetry, at San Diego. It was on the headland with the city in the background. It's the Memorial weekend. We went there after spending a few hours at the Midway Museum. There were a lot of Veterans about, all happy to talk about the planes and the Midway, also on where we should be going on our tour of the west Coast! Heading up theCoast tomorrow to Las Angeles. San Diego is lovely, we have had a lovely drive around. ...

Our first few attractions in LA were areas to visit rather then actual attractions so we took the car and explored. We headed straight to Atlantis which was brilliant again! Then to my favourite exhibit, the Arctic, with polar bears, walruses and my second favourite marine animal (first being manatees, which I was very disappointed to hear that they don't have any left at San Diego be use they ...

... mainly dogs and cats) would have a show at Sea World! The animals were mostly relocated from animal shelters and also consisted of pigs, birds, ducks, kangaroo's and emu's. I did have a chuckle when the family behind us paused as the emu's came out and I had said to the girls "oh, look emu's, who was expecting that?" and the other family the were saying "it's an emuoooo"!

The day was enjoyable, and the girls were pleased to have gone even with the 2hour drive there and home.

Every Adventure Begins in a Garden of Eden

This adventure actually began last April, in Chiang Mai, where our last adventure supposedly came to an end. We spent our final two weeks there before flying back home to Canada and for the life of me I could not force myself to write the final edition to the travel blog to wrap the Asian adventure up. We had enjoyed frolicking through Cambodia and Myramar so much - we just could not cope with it coming to an end. The plan for this winter was Central America. ...
