  • When buying disposables like shampoo, mouth wash, detergent, etc. - buy the smaller bottles, not the family size ones.
  • Bring a couple of light, strong beach bags - they come in handy to carry all sorts of things (like groceries).
  • The kids don't need their own cameras (and chargers, etc.). Their iPhone is enough.
  • Plan more days where our kids can meet and play with other kids:

    ... however, is something met with skepticism by even the youngest child. But most everyone got a kick out of it and had fun. Even some adults half joked about how freaky it was having a seven foot rabbit waltzing around the hotel. I could understand.

    ... soldiers. What impressed me the most was how old some of these graves were. Plus I found Harvey Dent's grave; I guess he really is dead. (a little batman humor for any who get it haha)

    So our next stop was to check out Lance's little bike shop called Mellow Johnny's (so named due to the American nickname for the yellow jersey worn in the Tour de France.)

    On the way there, we passed by the weekly Farmer's Market - there were lots of bikes and healthy looking people, so we figured we were heading in the right direction.
