... had a cold drink. Took a cold shower and then tried to sleep - it was very hot.

Breakfast of coffee and oatmeal, made with my immersion water boiler. Set off for Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Drove through Mt. We a.s went to this parliament place in little rock Arkansas where the were all these funny ...

... was told gave me a very good understanding of Texans and their attitudes...especially in East Texas! Yesterday, we got up, had breakfast, and then I had the opportunity to drive the pick-up! Compared to my tiny Ford KA in the UK, it was a beast! We drove to a local chocolate factory to sample some of the local candy, and then went and drove around the community college to see what it was like in comparison to a UK university. After that we went and got Mexican ...

      The Lone Star State

... own here! The heat is different to that in New Mexico, but still beats the humidity of Maine (and the UK, on a good day!) Tonight we are off to a winery for dinner which I am really looking forward to! As much as I've loved the (canteen/fast/camp fire) food of the last 2 months, some luxury never goes a miss! More on that in my next entry :-D ...
