    ... around.

At the tail end of our hike, we wennt down the Sims Trail, and back onto the Boardwalk. The 4.4 mile hike was very nice and tring for every one. Back at the visitor's center, Virginia Jerry and I became junior rangers! It was cool.

Then we went back to the hotel, swam in the pool a bit, and had ice cream. All in all, This was a champion ...

... Bryan I wiggled my way up the tree into the broken floorboards of the house. Both Bryan and Nick followed and we carefully explored the area. It was the coolest thing ever, so well designed this guy was a genius. Even though he is gone his work is still appreciated.

We hit the put in right as the sun came down so it was a quick and easy load on the way out.

    Solid day.

... for quick lunch and the continued on. In about a mile, we came to the next footbridge and turned left to get on River Trail. Late start. We got up at 8:30. It was cold in the cab last night so I cranked up the heat waaaay too high and baked us like potatoes for the first half. Why Columbia?

... could. I became great friends with my roommates who I met on craigslist but turned out to be 2 of the most amazing people I have ever met. Their puppies are my favorite dogs in the world! They have a wonderful group of friends I have been lucky enough to hang out with and even their families have been incredibly welcoming.

Although not an ideal location, Columbia is a gem and I know that my time here will be enlightening and I WILL be sad to leave.
