9:30 - on the road. Quality Inn, Richmond, KY very nice place to stay. Didn't sleep well at all last night - damn. Sunny day but there was frost in the windshield - 33F. Berea, Marathon Gas. 186.9/gal.!!!! 11:00 - Tennessee - only 37F and windy. But the "hills of Tennessee" are beautiful. It will be prettier in April when things will be greening up. ...

... been flat. We crossed a 4 lane road and then tried to work out the menu. They sort of had a carvery and then lots of dishes under lights that turned out to be vegetables, and the brownest baked beans. Everything had started boiling just a little after Christ, and had stopped boiling about a day before. Even the meats were warm.
