... I have ever seen! It was freezing cold in there and I only felt colder when we went outside again into the wind. It was an awful day, temperature wise, and we were dressed lightly for some unknown reason. I guess we hoped that the day would warm up, which it did finally at about 4pm. We found a park that was decorated with the busts of famous people, mostly composers, and we ate lunch on a bench in the sun which peeked out of the clouds only ...
Fredrikstad, Ostfold, Norway jasieniukrtwIt was surprisingly mild when we arrived at Gardemoen (airport) on this morning. None of us slept much on the plane. It is always surreal setting down into a new country. Our first plan is to record video for our TV channel, but since we were not allowed to import our equipment we need to buy it all in Oslo. Too tired today. We'll keep you up-to-date. http://www.norwaytraveltv.tv/
Vestby, Eastern Valleys, Norway frannyn... now talking and joking with the crowd between songs. The highlight was when she explained to the non-fanatics in the crowd (ie the rest of the crowd, or the 30 who were not lined up against the fence in front of the stage) that she had fans here from all over the world. She explained (probably much to the surprise and confusion of the locals) that there where fans here from Italy... and Portugal... (she sees me pointing at my "banner" frantically) .. and ...
Drammen, Eastern Valleys, Norway mikerickson...
Drammen, Eastern Valleys, Norway vavay_gunshot... before taking us back into town for a coffee. After the coffee we went up to fortress and walked around the icy paths with views over the town and harbour before having lunch at a restaurant in the fortress grounds. Next we drove out to the Norway-Sweden border at Svinesund and walked out onto the old bridge that crosses the fjord that forms the border before driving on via Kjersti's work to her ...
Halden, Norway tyga... us to downtown Oslo where our hotel was. I was really tired and I fell asleep on the drive there. We got to the hotel and then we went to dinner. Over the next two days we participated in a language camp online. In the evenings we walked around and went to a Rotary meeting.
Oslo, Norway lfish2489... was serving food to a resident that I had met earlier in the day and who knows I'm starting from scratch, and the resident started to sign "finished"/"enough" but Anna didn't understand so I told her what the sign meant. The resident got very excited and had to tell Gro right at that very moment that I had understood a sign well enough to help her. She was excited that I am learning! Then there's another resident who just laughs and laughs, and like to say YOU ARE ...
Andebu, Norway mannalieAhh, this website can not find Halden automaticly. Then, how can I find it? It should thank the God because there was no train from Oslo to Malmo directly on that day. Only a train to Halden. After that, a train would pass by Halden to Malmo. Since we knew Oslo well, we decided to have a look at Halden. Halden is the point which must be taken from Oslo to Sweden. There is a fort called Fredriksten where Sweden King Karl VII was killed ...
