Wow what a day ! We left Arequipa yesterday and the forecast in Puno was for rain. When we arrived, at around 6pm it was raining and fairly cold (about 8C). Getting Higher, Getting Colder

Puno & Lake Titicaca
... they came to get us with the original boat 10 minutes later and they brought us to the same place where the authentic boat would have brought us. After another hour in the burning sun on another island, the took us to the mainland again. This was our first (and hopefully our last) disappointing excursion.

The Orphan Way of Life
... Yierson, the eight month old Jorge Luis. It was a sad goodbye, definitely, but the entire week, living, working, and playing with the orphans without a doubt gave all of us a new appreciation for our own lives. I can say for a fact that we all have enjoyed our time in Puno so far. But I think what we really enjoyed most of all, was learning, connecting, and giving back to a group of kids who have nothing to take for granted.
