Près de Xining il y a un très grand et très important monastère bouddhiste tibétain de la secte des chapeaux jaunes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumbum_Mo nastery). En fait j'ai cru comprendre que c'est le monastère où le Dalaïl Lama a étudié. Mais c'est surtout là où est né le fondateur de cette secte.
