After a whistle stop tour of what felt like most of Turkey, we decided to have a few days off from sightseeing and go and sit on the beach. So we hopped on a bus and headed to Bulgaria where we planned to do not very much just north of Varna on the Black Sea coast. It was on the way to Romania (our next stop), so nice and handy.

I feel slightly bad for Bulgaria in that we didn't see much of it, didn't really learn an awful ...

We woke up this morning to a gale force wind, dark low clouds and spitting rain. We almost turned over and went back to sleep. But here we were so we packed the wet weather kit and headed for the BlackSeaRama Golf course. The garden and house ...

... and the signature 6th has a 100m drop and the hole plays 200m. I overshot the first ball but the second was literally 50cm from the pin....and I missed the put! It was a long detour to come up here to play but today was worth every km. We are playing the other two courses too and I'm sure they will be nice but it will be a long time before I play a better course. Brilliant day! C.

The scenery was again lovely with extensive mixed deciduous woods and empty as far as the eye could see, no picnic places, tracks or anything. The only people we saw were attractive scantily clad girls in pairs in random pull ins along the way. I have to admit the first girl we saw we did think she was waiting for a bus..... so naive All of them were very dark skinned and apparently gipsy girls, one looked really young about 14. I was ...
