An Uneventful Ride (thankfully!)
We left Vancouver on our way to Lake Tahoe...the almost 1,000 mile journey would take us two days. The drive was very uneventful as we were traveling along Interstate 5. We did make frequent stops to break up the almost 9 hour drive.

We're going on a safari, to see what we can see
We went to Wildlife Safari and drove through the safari drive where animals could pretty much roam free except for the lions and bears. Afterwards, we visited the village and saw other smaller animal exhibits, including Amanda's camal ride and a zookeeper talk on feeding and training alligators.

Homeward Bound
We awoke to a calm and sunny day; a weather reprieve so we kept driving through to Roseburg Oregon while the weather was nice. Apparently the storm is still ahead of us with rains expected on Tuesday but for today, clear sailing.
