... few locals enjoying the 'piscina', a natural pool just under the cascade, decide to leave. We have the place to ourselves for a, um, very refreshing bathe, wash and (literally) chill out, before a brisk stroll back to camp to find the others have already departed into town. The next day takes us to relative civilisation in the nearby town of Caripe, a pueblo of neat and colourfully painted houses, internet and telephone and, most importantly, a decent coffee. Civilisation at last! The coffee shop proved to be a great friend and our future visits alternate between the internet cafe and slugs of the local coffee....
... for the Roriama climb and so we had two hikes in this week. The first was a 3 and a half hour hike through forest with a 88m waterfall as the break point. The path was was difficult to walk over as it was all soil and it had gotten quite wet from the rain. There has been some rain every day this week, the climate in Playa Colorada is a lot warmer and drier. Yay, so we made to to Mochima!
It is this really small village just next to Cumana and the perfect way to get to the National park of Mochima.
We stayed in a posada for the first night then got up really early the next morning to take a boat to the beaches!
It was amazing! It was so beautiful and we even got to see Dolphins!
