So we woke up this morning, had breakfast. We headed over to Frank and Joyce's to go have lunch at the famous Morgan's in Redcliffe. But first we had some lemon mirangue pie. Met Lennie, Scott, and the kids at Morgans. While we were waiting for our food, we ran into some more cousins. Finally our number was called, Robert ordered so much food for us. Two different kinds of fish, chips, shrimp (prawns in Australia), fish cake, calamari, Cole slaw and for some reason I felt I needed cold prawns...

... seen on this trip. Then we wandered into The Strand which is an old building with shops. In there we found a jeweler who was willing to take my broken opal ring and turn it into two earrings of my design. When we return to Sydney, we’ll pick them up from the shop. My husband was slightly dismayed at the price but I thought it fair from what I know of jewelry making and gold prices ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia carpefeline... buck. As Nick is so quick to remind me,
I'm obsessed with street performers. I love watching them and can
easily stand there for 30 minutes before he drags me off. Everyone
enjoys icecream and other sweets walking around. This, we felt reminded
us of Baltimores inner harbor although grander and prettier all around.
But the same kind of idea. Ferry rides and battleships line the docks.
Keep walking and you hit world famous Darling Harbour which is where

... at the end of our tour on the magic bus we ended up back in Auckland which has about as much excitement as watching paint dry. Ok, so there were two exciting or interesting things to do and see there. One being the sky tower which did actually have pretty good views of the surrounding area and the other being watching Rhys scream like a little girl as he jumped off the Auckland harbour bridge as he did his bungee.

... we got sucked into a current pulled me out over a load of rock. i swam for about 45 minutes
and didnt go anywhere, it kept dragged me closer and closer to the
rocks, i tried to swim parallell to the shore, then go back in , and
couldnt, so bondi rescue came along and started shouting at me from the
beach over the megaphone, told me to surf
in over the rocks, which i tried, but came off th eboard and landed on
the rocks, then got another one straight in, got to ...
... so if this is wrong I apologise! There are over 1 and a half million small tiles from Sweden lining the sails externally, which give the building its characteristic white colour although the tiles are actually slightly off-white. The inside of each little pod is incredible; there are no straight walls; the main concert hall is made entirely out of wood and is meant to resemble the inside of a stringed instrument. It’s so hard to describe! So I’m going to give up, look at ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia apoc100... another nightmare with the transport and my bus took 2 hours! He phoned me when I was nearly there as he was in Sydney Central but it was raining at Palm Beach, it would have taken him another 2 to 2 ½ hours and I didn't fancy waiting that long in the rain so I just looked around myself for about 30 mins, got some pictures of Summer Bay Surf Club. There was no filming going on so I didn't get to see any of the cast. After a while I went to wait for the bus and ...

Although there have been prior infestations of globius roamus it was The Librarian and his family who triggered this bout of the dreaded disease. In what could be a Pratchett or Potter plot, the Librarian found a secret passage in the back of the State Library of NSW that took him directly to the Cloverdale Public Library in Surry, British Columbia. You can read more about The Librarian and ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia katta7Waving a regretful goodbye to the Bluesmobile, and a rather less regretful one to the Auckland rain, we jumped through the financial and bureaucratic hoops necessary to leave New Zealand and squeezed into a flying sardine tin for the hop across the Tasman. Three hours later we were in sunshine and landing heavily at Sydney airport (strong cross-wind!), and after another free boot-cleaning it was on to the shuttle bus.First sight of Australia made us realise that perhaps New Zealand doesn ...
