Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. ... gondola and they were mostly skiers and snowboarders with all their gear. We were standing in the middle of the gondola, so poor little Austen couldn't see a thing except lots of tall people all around him.
