... a candy store selling those damn Chupa Chups suckers. Jodi bought 4 pounds worth! Next door, was a kids clothing store complete with The Easter Bunny. Kylee had no problem waving from afar but getting closer was not going to go as planned. We wasted two and a half hours in the mall, which was great since our train didn't leave until six, we had to keep busy. From there we continued on down Michigan Avenue shopping at ...

... Chicago, to start our Route 66 adventure. Route 66 officially starts from the middle of the downtown and runs all the way across America, East to West. We pulled up at a mall car park (Velparaiso) for lunch. Today we had ravioli topped with Amish cheese. Back on the road again we are heading for another Walmart, hopefully near a train. Just lots of driving today so we entertained ourselves with writing our journals (hence why this one for yesterday and today is so long !), doing ...

... up and got a taxi to the Hancock building to go up to the sky lounge and watch the sunset and get amazing views of the city without having to pay for the privilege. It was amazing! And being 96 floors up is just crazy. Wasn't keen on the wobbly cabled elevator but it was totally worth it. After a mass of photos and a cheeky drink at the top we headed down to The Cheesecake Factory which is the weirdest place and had a menu ...
