    ... was switched off whilst people were queueing on it (otherwise it would have got really interesting!) and caught our first glance of colonial USA. Bubba Gump Shrimp and California Pizza Kitchen were our first sights on Mexican soil!     1 hour bus to Playa, found this great hostel not far from downtown. Manuela the owner was so lovely and welcoming, took us under her wing like one of her own from the get go. The Hostel Hacienda was so spacious, clean and organised. There was a group of Aussies staying there who had also done the previous winter in Canada.     ... to the Akumal area to go to the beach to snorkel with sea turtles. Was great fun and we even saw a couple of stingrays.
