    ... barn owl (again, really cool), a hedgehog, some scorpions, a false cobra and some spiders in the night section (along with some other animals, mostly land creatures), but the main attraction was a tank full of the most aggressive species of piranha on the planet. Yes, there was a tank full of red-bellied piranhas at the very front of the zoo (wicked), but there was a sign next to them which had all sorts of facts about them, such as, they don't live up ...

    ... hands us tickets for a flight tomorrow, at the same time as the one we missed to Buenos Aires (the only flight, once a day that goes there), AND he is charging us no fees (awesome). He then explains he will be putting us up in a hotel that night, including 3 meals and shuttle service to and from the hotel (double awesome). We must have seemed confused by his generosity, as he thanks us for waiting patiently and thanks us for flying Emirates, leaving us standing there ...

    ... I also watched "Saving Mr Banks" and "Catching Fire" before turning inflight entertainment off and trying to sleep. When I finally got to Dubai, I watched a little promo on Dubai Airport and just how easy it is to find your way around. It lied. I became hopelessly lost inside the airport and had to ask for assistance on several occasions. Fortunately they are a very patient and polite people and I did get through eventually.
