... anyone else on that site, and just visited a second hand scooter shop. After a lot of "attempted conversing" in very broken English with the salesman (who was very, very nice), we settled on a scooter. This little scooter was found out the back of the store, away from the main forecourt (obviously our price range didn't encompass the shiny, newer scooters out the front!) but it looked good! It was the only one he showed us which he could guarantee the engine was in good nick, ...

... were definitely the steaks! (some prime T-bone steaks) - because Taiwan as a whole doesn't seem to be a meat loving/eating nation, so finding good meat products anywhere is pretty difficult! Also a GIANT bag of M&M's, literally huge, we're talking a couple of kilos! Oh and Rooibos tea! For any of my South African buddies reading this, this tea we fell in love with whilst on our trip to South Africa, so coming across that here, and in bulk, has been an awesome find!

... spoke really good English and were very helpful, showing me which way the train was. The HSR is extremely convenient, it only took 45 minutes from Taichung to Tainan and cost NTD $700, which is around 15 pounds. I'd suggest you get the HSR as it is so comfortable and fast.

My hostel was just outside Anping, which is the old town in Tainan. Anping is really cool, it has a huge ...
