Swank new hotel, tiny boxes for rooms

Not the smallest hotel we have stayed in, but not much bigger! Our cabin on the Scenic Azure had more light and greater room to move. There is NO window either, an oddity we have never experienced previously!
Beds are comfortable, but very close together and facilities are minimal, with the exception of an L shaped desk and a comfortable chair. The removal of both these would have greatly enhanced the space.

A better flight than expected. But more than 12 hours is a long time. At least I had a good book. Arrival for the Moon Festival! Hotel Moon 23 specialises in small rooms.....and ours has beautiful curtains, but no window! Dinner at Jumbo Grill in the next street and an early night! He was an interesting, well spoken man who is passionate about his …

The owner of Jumbo Grill told us about the festivities at the site of the old train station yesterday evening, so we planned to attend. The old station site was at Tanjong Patar in the middle of the city, but the location could also have been at Woodlands where the transit buses leave for Johore to connect with Malaysian Rail. We opted for …

... li> First stop around noon, we made our way to the first Heritage site which is, Kampung Glam. First that caught our attention was the beautifully built structure which is the Sultan Mosque. The very calming reciting of prayers at certain timings could be heard throughout our journey around Jalan Sultan. Not only was that, not far from the Mosque, a Malay Heritage Centre was spotted! No doubts that it sure feed us with tons of ...

Hi folks! This is the first time I am writing a travel log (yes, in my 70s). Three months ago, I won a lucky draw from the community centre in Kowloon and it is a trip to Singapore for 7 Days! I was so excited and happy since I'll be going to another hot oven and will not experience jet lag since the time zone is practically the same.

A month ago I went on and prepared for the upcoming trip by going to shopping malls to get ...
