... in a pool, before heading out to the bay in the afternoon. Scuba diving, for those who haven`t done it, comes highly recommended: we saw an array of catfish, electric blue and orange fish, a few eels, lionfish, lots of cool stuff, even though the visibility was at times limited.
Unfortunately the journey home was less fun: it started badly when Gabe, his head still full of salt water and slightly dizzy after the pressure changes, got car sick and vomited. It got worse when we ...

Using information gleaned from our Japan by rail guidebook we made our way to Mishima station by bullet train in order to get as close as we could for a good view of Mount Fuji. This time we actually saw it from the train and also got a good view from the bus over to Motohakone. It turned out to be a performance by a local Taiko band. Hearing the smaller and larger drums being played together, accompanied by a flute was really great. And the whole thing taking place on the river made it magical. After a while it started to get pretty cold on the river so we went into ...

Time to soak!

... it's very rude to do this standing up and splashing water all over the place. I stepped into the bath and i immediately felt relaxed. There already was another guy in the onsen (women usually have their own bath), He introduced himself as Harvey from Germany and we talked a bit about our experiences in Japan. After about fifteen minutes i left the bath and put on the Yukata from the hostel. I originally had plans to go out to a restaurant but since it was still raining and ...
