The Mook Lanta eco-resort les right at the end of Long Beach so if you want to go for a walk you have indeed a very nice long beach. I t was quiet and pleasant, activities for all tastes can be found. If you don't want their famous english breakfast, there is a French bakery nearby as well as numerous restaurants. You can rent a motorbike, go diving or snorkling or take the four island tour. The standard rooms are pretty basic but clean and have a nice shower and fan. So what more do you want on this island paradise?

If you're looking for something that's not a party on the beach then this is your place. Still only a minute's walk from the coast (and a nice quiet section at that). These resort is located in a wonderful garden area rich with frogs to sing you to sleep!

I spend Pi Mai or lao New year in Thailand on the beautiful island of Ko Landa in Krabi province. I wanted to get away from the crazy waterfights in Vientiane and was looking for some peace and quiet. Mook Lanta Eco resort was close to the beach and had basic but clean accommodaton. On top of that the island's best restaurant, the Red Snapper is …

We enjoyed the sunset view, albeit with huge crowds of people before continuing down to our bungalow just as the light faded for the day.
We showered and changed then headed out for dinner then to the beach to check out the evening festivities before heading back as I was not feeling too well despite a distinct lack of alcohol.

Like so many things however, when you scratch beneath the surface, what is publically displayed is an altogether different reality from the exterior which is initially presented. Some sad facts drape over the retreat, and cling like a death shroud, covering what was once great and grand, but now has sadly passed, and is lifeless and wilted. The “guru” (quotation ...

Many people go on tours or spend their days at the beach so once the sun goes down you start to see more and more people. There were various food carts and a few that simply had bottles of booze and they would make you whatever cocktail for $4! Early to bed before the big snorkeling day ...
