The Mook Lanta eco-resort les right at the end of Long Beach so if you want to go for a walk you have indeed a very nice long beach. I t was quiet and pleasant, activities for all tastes can be found. If you don't want their famous english breakfast, there is a French bakery nearby as well as numerous restaurants. You can rent a motorbike, go diving or snorkling or take the four island tour. The standard rooms are pretty basic but clean and have a nice shower and fan. So what more do you want on this island paradise?

If you're looking for something that's not a party on the beach then this is your place. Still only a minute's walk from the coast (and a nice quiet section at that). These resort is located in a wonderful garden area rich with frogs to sing you to sleep!

I spend Pi Mai or lao New year in Thailand on the beautiful island of Ko Landa in Krabi province. I wanted to get away from the crazy waterfights in Vientiane and was looking for some peace and quiet. Mook Lanta Eco resort was close to the beach and had basic but clean accommodaton. On top of that the island's best restaurant, the Red Snapper is …

... destination was and we got one stuck on us to match! The boat stopped at Koh Phanghan, Koh Samui and then Surat Thani (where we got off to get on a coach) but we slept for most of the 3 hour journey, it was the best travelling sleep we've had so far! The coach took another 2 and a half hours and was mostly on roads through jungle type terrain so we slept again lol! When we reached Krabi Town they offered ...

... warm!!! After laying out for a bit longer, we went to get lunch and decided to try another restaurant along the beach. Paul ordered a salad which was tiny and I ordered a tuna baguette and was bought a tuna salad; the waiter said they'd change it but after 10 minutes of waiting I decided to eat it- it was really nice. We went back to our room and realised we ...

    ... islands are much better.
We where very lucky to stop in the middle of the ocean to snorkel for over two hours (at different times) and saw some amazing fish and wildlife under the water... :)))))
We passed Chicken Island (I don't think my picture shows it that good?) and this is pretty cool and onto monkey bay...
Its really was nice and the snorkeling was fantastic. Whilst out at sea we saw a sting ray and millions of different fish, ...

... the little cabin so I don't think anyone got good pictures. Eventually, another boat came towards us and dropped off some more people onto our boat, and then we were on our way! The reason for this, as far as I can tell, is that Railay beach (also spelled Rai Leh or Raylay) is very, VERY shallow (and will be described later). So the big long-tail boats that go across to the various islands can't make it in to shore. That seems a little strange, since ...
