... coffee shop and got out my map. I now had to make a decision as to what route I was going to take. The main route via Tirano is faster but is on main roads and is rather boring. The other route is all the way back up Stelvio and down the magical East pass which I took photos of earlier this morning.
By the time I finished my coffee I had made up my mind that it was the route back over Stelvio. Its much harder work than the main roads but also 100% more enjoyable.

... remain in our hearts as our favorite European city. We were awed by the northern city of Bolzano and so thankful we got to experience the Dolomites. We were enchanted by the magic of the lakes, especially Lake Como, with low-lying clouds, misty mornings, twinkling evening lights. Today we began the mammoth task of packing and then saying goodbye to everyone as this was our last day in Trentino. I've decided I'm brave enough to have a crack at driving! So I did a little driving yesterday and today I drove us up the mountain to San Martino. Paul forgot to sort out his international license before we left and has been driving without it so I figure its not much different me driving :) ...
