After 35 some odd hours of travel we've arrived safe and sound. The city is beautiful, busy and VERY VERY HOT!! I just took a cold shower and turned the AC on in the hotel room and we're going to venture out soon to run some errands. I'm not even jet lagged. God I'm a pro :P Miss everyone already!! (But having a blast ;) )

All of the volunteeers and staff love this new building. They have room to work and it is in a better location than the old office. As with the Mae Sot office, they sell Karen …

Tourist day with the elephants

A travel blog entry by alaskateam

Today is a day of rest and being tourists. After grabbing breakfast, we hopped on a Thai version of a taxi (known as a Song Tow), and took a 45 minute ride up to the Maesa Elephant Camp. This camp seemed to be well run, and it looks like they treat their animals well. We immediately took a ride. Jack and Patrick's elephant decided to take a side …
