... brother of Gary, who was the first family member I visited on my travels. It is amazing that my first stop and last stop on this trip was to spend time with members of the Briggs family. These two cousins are the last of my mom's side of the family that I know.

I just arrived in Chiang Mai and am SO happy to have Bangkok behind me. I went on this vacation to relax and there was nothing relaxing about that swarming city. ... t have been better. The first good omen was when we parked in long-term parking at Sacramento airport, just as the terminal shuttle bus pulled up at the stop nearest our car. We didn't have to stand out in the cold at all. Our flight left Sacramento on time and arrived at Houston a little early. We had time to have lunch, take a walk and make our flight to Miami.
