Tomorrow I plan to visit a nearby town called Tavira and it´s island. I have done pretty much no sight-seeing so I´ll be ready to appreciate beautiful things when I get going again. I have another week of working here and then I´m up and away to who knows where! From then I´ll have 3 weeks til christmas time in France with my relatives.

Today I went to a rural area of Italy. It was very calm and quiet here. The people were really nice and gave us some of their food so that we could eat there with them. Their houses were built of pure bricks making them very stable and warm for those cold fronts that come in the winter.

Lasciamo l'isola di Farol per la nostra seconda fermata: Olhao il più grande porto di pesca in
Algarve con case in stile moresco.
Olhão è una città a molte "facce"; da un lato si mostra porto di pesca ed importante centro industriale per l' inscatolamento di tonno e sardine, dall' altro rivela il suo aspetto pittoresco e storico.

... osservato in tutta l'estensione dell'isola. Facciamo una passeggiata per le strade di questa comunità, piccola ma accogliente. Arriviamo al faro, per ammirare una vasta spiaggia di sabbia bianca e fine bagnata da acque calme e ma un poco fredde.

Ci fermiamo in un bar sulla costa. Ci sembra di stare in Brasile per la musica e il colore della gente che serve ai tavoli e parla portoghese. Bella gente.

... in the area but it was extremely hot and apathy set in. We did not even manage to go to the almost effortless ferry across to Ilha de Tavira. We are sure that we will return when the heat is less intense as we both liked in and easyjet are now flying to Faro (up the coast) from our home town of Southend.

Regretfully we took the bus back to Spain going straight through to Seville in 3 1/2 hours.
