Paella Baby Yeah!!!

The plan was to stay in Satungo and catch the train to Valencia which was 25km further south. On arrival in Satungo we were not overly impressed but we sought out the tourist information in order to find a place to park. The tourist office told us there was nowhere to park except in a camp ground 7km away which we then would not be able to get transport to Valencia. So we headed onwards through Valencia and to the south where we thought we could find a place to ...

Reppin the dorm

6 weeks left here in benidorm before a flying visit back home to see everyone then im off to Thailand, Oz and Fiji for a few months travelling.

Currently loving the 'dorm, its probably the most random and bizzare place to rep and although its a bit quiet at the moment having amazing nights out with the rest of the fantastic team we have here, still time to come and see me!!!

Baking bread in El Potro!!!

We challenged our limits to cycle from Valencia to Alcoy in 1 day, about 130 km! We arrived late in the night after cycling the last 10 km over a busy national road in the dark (was not much fun), then cycled straight up in Alcoy for 2 km and walked the last km in wild nature with rocks, sand and even had to carry our bikes up ...

Southern Spain

So today is our last day and we are both ready to be done with it! We arrived not until noon in Alicante and we had reserved an excursion to see two towns near Alicante. One was Jalon and is famous for Muscatel wine and the other was Aleta famous for nothing except that the tour guide lives there. So this day turned out to be a double holiday in Spain and ...

Flipflop hike

... getting ourselves into, we embarked on the hike with just our "flippy-floppies". The start of the hike was nothing more than a walk in the park with a nice stone path that led us into a manmade tunnel. The tunnel was pretty neat, complete with ropes to help guide us in the dark and to avoid bailing on the slick rock. Once out of the tunnel, the path changed ...

Caminamos en Alicante

These pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.
The pictures later are from our visit to two little pueblos just outside of Alicante; Guadalest and Altea. In the little town of Guadalest is a beautiful castle ...

Para Empezar

... seem really promising and there's more boys than I thought. (Ew?) But some are uptight like no freaking other! They're the clingy, let's talk about how much this costs all the ****ing time and complain and freak out and act like whiny American *****es. No thanks. No entiendo íngles por favor.
But I don't think we have to be stuck with them. I'm just so glad I found such a good travel companion in Elizabeth!~!

Day 39- Who needs uni if you have a british nutter

So Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. In the Brittish consulate you basically have about 15 people at any time who have had their passports robbed. During our short stay we spoke to a few fellow British people around us. A particularily funny convosation started with an old british man who was keen to share his words of wisdom, unfortunately, he was not even slightly wise. He started the ...

Day 38 - Dancing like motherbitches!

So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...

Party's over - life begins!

... can do the most simple task, of communicating with my childrens teachers ... but hey, I'm getting pretty good at the whole body language thing, miming, waving my hands about, just general stuff to get my message across - always a laugh ... afterwards. We've also very much enjoyed the local restaurant/cafe scene. There's barely a day goes by, that we don't go out for a coffee, and we 'do lunch' at least 2-3 times a week. Some restaurants are ...
