    ... sun was shining and beyond the breaking surf the sea was flat. We past five set of flags manned by life guards. A new building now the tallest on the coast named "Soul" is situated opposite the Surfers Paradise beach near Cavill Avenue. We had a drink and wandered around then walked back. A round trip of seven kilometres.

    ... all on our own in this vast landscape. A park warden came over for a chat and advised on the route we should take back for the best views. Whilst talking, I asked him about the spider that had scared me yesterday. On describing it, he told me it was a Golden Orb and would have only given me a mild bite. I don't know why we worried as the van went up the hill with ease; without hairpin bends it was able to keep the momentum going. Following the wardens ...

    ... man ebenfalls die Wellen reitet, allerdings im Liegen statt im Stehen.

    Einer unserer letzten Stops in New South Wales war die Lake Ainsworth Lagoon, welche auf den ersten Blick nicht sehr zum schwimmen einlädt, da sie fürchterlich rot-braun ist. Dies kommt allerdings von den Ölen der Teebäume, welche um die Lagune herumstehen und somit ist das Schwimmen hier sehr gut für die Haut.

    ... having learnt all about them in the show, we found the Mum's and joeys. I hadn't realised they are marsupials as are kangaroos, wallaby's, Tasmanian devils etc. apparently Koalas don't make good Mums.
    What we found was a smaller joey, around 7 months old. It popped its face out. I went back for the third time and found it on its Mums back.
