It was a warm day, and pleasant being on the road. Breakfast was 100 miles to Lovelock where we arrived too late (11 am) - apparently all restaurants in Lovelock stop serving breakfast at 11 - so it was breakfast in the RV. Lunch found us in Winnemucca, again in the RV. Arrived at our destination of Wendover on the Nevada/Utah border. Enjoyed dinner out ...
... very exciting game to watch and never a moment of boredom. It is exactly like the movies. More fist fights than goals during the game .... marriage proposals during the break.....people playing for cars and free oil changes. Americans seem to take their sport very seriously. The grizzly bears, the home team, whenever they scored a goal there was a loud siren going off. If the opposing team scored everyone boo-ed ...
... my fretting was without substance as when we arrived at the pay station the next morning, a 'lovely man’ said he wouldn’t take a lovely ‘rig’ like ours out there if he was us and why didn’t we park up and he would get us a ride. How about that – exactly what we did! Boy, it was HOT, but really worth the effort. There is an area known as ‘the pits’ where the cars, ...

Another piece of advise from the Internet: to mark your odometer and/or gps so you know where you left from exactly. Because once you drive out onto the flats for a bit it's really hard to figure out where to go. We first slowly drive onto the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Montego Bay Casino Resort West Wendover
Great hotel and very kid friendly
We spent 5 nights at this property and loved every minute. Room key provided access to other swimming pools property owns. Restaurant very clean and a great menu. Pastry and coffee near elevator made for midnight sneaks from room. Will always book here. My grandkids still talk about it. Gloria Wilson

The rooms were luxuriously decorated with vibrant colors. Rooms were clean and well presented upon arrival. Rooms are large and roomy, even the two-bed rooms.Housekeeping were very polite and efficient on requests. Nice private outdoor pool area. They were a great host for our two day event, large conference rooms. Seafood buffet was excellent and a very nice cozy cafe inside the casino as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I own a saloon which takes an annual "gambling junket" (bus trip) every year. This was our 22nd anniversary trip, and while we had previously always gone to Jackpot, NV, we chose to look elsewhere this year because of some bad experiences at Jackpot (higher prices being the major one). I took 48 people to Montego Bay in West Wendover, and from the moment we pulled up, I was very positively impressed with our experience. When some rooms needed to be changed around because of the needs of one of our handicapped passengers, it was immediately done and she was given a room right across from the elevator. All in all, the changes took about 10 minutes. Their promotions for our group were very good, as were the room rates. A few said that their rooms were cold and that their thermostats didn't work, but I don't think they called these problems in to the front desk. All of our passengers commented about how beautiful their rooms were, as was my room as well. I would have no problem in recommending Montego Bay to anyone.
