... chilly journey home. I hoped off the bus at Plaça de Catalunya and walked back to the hotel via La Rambla. There are about 10 streets which come off Plaça de Catalunya and as I stood in the square looking at all the exits I wondered which was the famous La Rambla. I knew as soon as I saw it. Wall to wall tourists, markets, street performers, alfresco cafes, everything. No wonder its a haven for pick pockets. It was an interesting walk home, but my hand was on my bag the whole ...

Our last day in Spain started with an 8 am or 9 am breakfast. Our group split into two as one group headed to tour the inside of La Segrada Familia and the other a walking tour of Barcelona. The first group left at 9 am on the metro to La Segrada Familia. The interior is phenomenal! It is hard to describe the intricacies of the architecture. Some in the group were able to go up into the bell towers and see the city. We stayed an hour and a half and took ...

... area which is a safe and bustling area. The street in front of our apartment, over which we look from our balcony, is pedestrian only and dotted with outdoor Cafes, multiple restaurants and yummy bakeries! Being as it was Sunday, shopping for groceries was limited but we managed to find bread and wine. ( remember it is the Sabbath). Returned to our apartment, which required a great deal of wiggling, ...
