      ... they left to embark on a 32 hour journey home! We are now settled safely in our hotel in Madrid - the Conde Duque and enjoyed afternoon tea with our friends the Cassidy's who just happened to be in Madrid for a few days! The weather is great! Warm in the sun but a nice breeze and pleasant in the shade. There are more trees/grass/flowers by our hotel than we saw coming in from the airport.

      ... The building is set up so that the palace surrounds a massive Basicila that is in the middle of the complex. King Phillp's bedroom and his daughter's both had private doors to the altar so that they could be close to God, and see the altar at all times through the glass.
