Today we were hitting the road to Barcelona for the day, we got up reasonably early, got packed up and hit the road stopping for our final on site bakery breakfast on our way out... The journey to Barcelona took just under 2 hours so nothing too painful and traffic was fine, we directed the sat nav straight to the Nou Camp as we wanted to get tickets sorted for the match tonight first and then spend the day exploring before the match kicked off at 10pm. I was already regretting not having a manual transmission, to give me more torque. I made the turn quickly, to maintain momentum, but as I cut hard right to squeeze -- barely -- the van into the narrow channel, there was a loud crunching noise in back ...

If you have been following the blog for the last few weeks you will have spotted the regular pattern of time by the coast with interspersed with trips inland for climbing. We had visited this area back in 2006 and had really enjoyed it. It has some stunning cliffs and gorges high up in the hills at around 1000m above sea level. Although we are high in the hills the day time temperature are still up in the mid 30's so all our climbing is being done ...
