... since we have been assigning characters. The Sat Nav is Dougal, as he gets grumpy when we go a different way to what he has shown us and sometimes says odd things. He's Spanish so we are getting lots of practise on directions.
Jo has chosen Dylan on the basis that she's been so laid back on occasions we've gone the wrong way. She was certain that she was not going to be Ermintrude!

... Palace. We bought combo tickets to see the Royal Reception Rooms, Ruins and Royal Stables. The rooms were magnificent, with wonderful furnishings and artworks, chandeliers, tapestries, the Flora Danica cabinet full of exquisite porcelain decorated with only Danish flora, an amazing dining table made from the remains of a staircase from the earlier palace which was destroyed by fire: even the banisters were used, as footrests. It was suggested that we would be berthed north of the statue but we were south of it, near the Gefion Fountain, just outside the Kastellet.
