We were disappointed to wake up to a dull, overcast morning and really p**d off when it started to rain! Where did the sun go?

... long before we were threading our way through the mess of motorway junctions, on the left and right(!!) around Barcelona. It was getting sunnier and warmer all the time and we were relieved to finally get to Vilanova i la Getru and the campsite at Vilanova Park. We had stayed here in May 2014 to visit Barcelona and ended up on a pitch in the row behind!
The day started well enough with a nice walk along the beach, lunch in a beachside restaurant over looking the harbour... After lunch a few more beers in a couple of different bars and it was late afternoon, Linda and Mandy returned with Tia to Herman for the night as Mark, Cani and I powered on into the evening at the Tapas Bar, Beers, Run&Cokes and Bottles of Wine all being consumed... Even the free Tapas they laid on the top ...
... a challenge reading certain books that were older or more poetic and had words I was not familiar with. At the same time, it was a good challenge that really got me working on my spanish comprehension!

All in all we have had a brilliant 9 days on this site, the only real downside was the wind which gusted so strong at times that we felt that the van would get blown over! It also meant that we didn’t sleep very well for most of our stay, but I guess you can’t have it all eh?
We are now off to do our second workaway on an olive farm…..wish us luck!!!!
