Plus we wouldn't want to anyway, its nice to speak to them and have a laugh. The walk back across the sea of sand was boiling, as the sun had really heated up by then. There was absolutely no shade, and so by the time we got back out of the crater we were exhausted.

Once we got back to town, we headed into ...

They were an extremely bright and creative group of children who produced some beautifully original creations in no time at all. Things were looking good from the moment you turned into the road leading to the hotel and there was a passable-looking fake Starbucks (Starqueen anyone?). In the reception they ...

... made it to Bromo the day after. It took 2 bus changes and then we were dropped at a tour guide. ****. He told us all this package deals etc but I didn't like it at all. We both knew it was a tourist trap. We weren't the only white people in his shop! But working out how much it would cost to do the trip to Mount Bromo - the volcano we were here to see - on our own, it didn't work out much differently. So he gave us a ticket which would include everything we needed from here to Bali. ...
