... hours and forty-five minutes of it, with a nap in between. As we started our descent into Geneva, I pulled open the window shade and looked out at the snow-speckled ground. It didn't look like much at first, but as we got lower and closer to the city, these mountains grew out of nowhere! Geneva is surrounded by the Alps and the Jura. They are so huge and looked as if snow were perfectly painted on. I tried to get some pictures, but ...

Today was purely about getting off and ready to go.

Rob went round to fix Suzy's tire first thing and make sure she was good to go again. We packed and jammed and weighed for a few hours. Then took off to the train at Bare. We got to Manchester Airport in good time and checked through all okay until security Honestly they are worse the Australia. Our bag had to be scanned again, even after they had checked it - twice! It ...

After we finished in Geneva we drove to Lausanne, Switerland to visit the Olympic Federation Museum. The Olympic Museum (French: Musée Olympic) in Lausanne, Switzerland, houses permanent and temporary exhibits relating to sport and the Olympic movement. With more than 10,000 pieces, the museum is the largest archive of Olympic ...

... the adventure really begins. Geneva isn't a huge city. With free transportation included in the (exorbitant) room fee it's easy to hop on a train, tram, boat or bus and find your way to all the major sights. By the end of our stay we saw the Palace of Nations, walked through many parks, passed fountains (some working others planted) including the huge one that's impossible to miss on the waterfront. ...
