    We found out ( too late to do anything about it in New Zealand or even France) that they would not let us on the cruise home without an Indian visa!!     ... bike ride up to the town of Duingt. The route runs mostly along the lake, is very flat and well marked. After lunch at a sandwich shop (on great French bread) in Duingt, we rode back to Annecy. We got back to Annecy just in time to return the bikes and hop on a 1 hour boat tour on the lake.
