... were really nice and dropped us to our hotel and wouldn't accept a tip. The hotel - mmmmm - Luxe Rodeo Drive. Nice. Our room has a **** view and I think they felt bad so they threw in breakfast every day. This is worth USD 150. We would have been going to Starbucks otherwise. I can survive the **** view. So now we've had 2 "upgrades". Once with the car and again with breakfast. As things happen in 3's, is it possible we may get upgraded ...

Maybe someone overheard and decided to prank us. Hope the americans on the table that ended up with the unordered meal didnt pay either.

... the traffic jam our friends recommended us leaving a bit later. We departed from Santa Margarita at about 9.30 and headed to Los Angeles. The roads weren´t definitely empty and as we were getting closer to LA the traffic was getting heavier and heavier. The U.S. infrastructure is truly amazing, based on a large system of highways and freeways. Most of them have at least 4 lanes going in one direction and another 4 lanes going in the opposite direction, but sometimes even more (5 ...
