We were heading out to Penguin Island which is famous for its colony of penguins, but within the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park there are many other appropriately named landmarks including White Rock, Bird Island, Gull Rock, Seal Island, First Rock, Second Rock, Third Rock, and Passage Rock which marks the passage out to open waters. Nobody hurt themselves thinking those up! We followed ...

... except for the roads, muppet. Also saw loads of Orb spiders and didn't freak - too much, they were a few feet away thank god! Esme was very annoyed on the ferry trip back to Fremantle (Freo to the locals - surely it should be Pertho too?) as an aussie family were taking up 6 seats with 4 people and their bags, yet not once offered the seats for their bags to any of the poor buggers standing. This was pretty much first negative experience with any local, these people ...
