We had booked a city tour for the following day but the **************ed up and not booked it so we only had the afternoon to see the Christ Statue and the Sugar Loaf. So we got a bus asap to see the Christ Statue and very luckily met a lady who took us up to the top in her taxi and then promised to drive us to the Sugar Loaf in time ...

... liess das Wetter etwas zu wuenschen uebrig und weil vor lauter Wolken die Aussicht wohl eher bescheiden gewesen waere, haben wir dann doch lieber ein paar Quartiere besichtigt. Nach einem langen Spaziergang entlang der Strande von Copacabana und Ipanema gings uber einen Markt, wo wir Zuckerrohrsirup probiert haben (brrr, mega suess) und dann mit dem Bus ins Zentrum.
