... which was driving the Parkway with two other Model T Fords but they were a bit behind as they kept stopping. Part way along the Parkway is a small section that was destroyed by a tornedo in April this year. It really is odd how exact a tornedo can be. Just this one section of the parkway forest has been uprooted and tossed around. One minute you have trees full of the colour of Fall and then destruction and then as if nothing had happened, we're back to the Fall colour.

Today was a a long day, 775 miles from Abingdon, Virginia to Monroe, Louisiana. I touched 6 states - Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana on I-81 to Knoxville, I-75 to Chattanooga, I-59 to Birmingham and I-20 to Monroe.

I got stopped in Mississippi which was a surprise to me as I've been really careful with my speed. He stopped me because the frame around my license plate is covering the state name. He gave me a fix-it ...

Got an early start this morning. We
stopped at a Toyota dealership in Rogers, AR to have the truck
serviced. The service took longer than we had planned due to some
warranty work that had to be done. While waiting for the work on the
truck to be completed we took a rental vehicle to visit the Pea Ridge

Pulled into the KOA in West Monroe, LA with plans to stay a week but after ONE night we had enough. The park is next to a dog pound and dogs howled all night long and talk about the smell- we couldn't wait to leave and leave we did. First thing Monday Morning....
