Although we dreamt and planned a lot for this journey, we never thought about the last part.
Waiting between our last two planes, we still have one question:How do you end such an overwhelming adventure before getting back to the real world of bills, plumbing problems and work but also friends, family, weekends and summerbars? I guess by putting the best pics on your screensaver and planning the next one :-)?.
... are out by the thousands, eating, drinking, smoking and connecting with their neighbors. Such a vital time at night. But with our long day we decided to just go out from 7:30 - 10:30pm then head back to our hotel and into bed. Chris' pedometer marked we walked 11 kilometers today. And now my feet feel like it. So happy to be here. Special thanks to Cliff and Sandy who gave a condensed version of Rome....as we are going to Florence ...
... 3 course meals; free unlimited access to the entertainment system; free goodies including eye mask, blanket, socks, nice big pillow and toothpaste with a tooth brush (so smart for a long plane ride, didn't even cross my mind!); and of course the best part free booze! While that was going on, I told Leslie I was going to retrace our steps a little ways. When we had earlier passed on of the concourse gates, our driver told someone there she would return for them. I could not remember which gate, but I began a brisk walk in that direction while Leslie waited at the information booth.
