... display, which paired nicely with the video we watched yesterday in Ghent's belfry on bell founding.

Our next stop was the Steen, with its statue of Antwerp's mischievous imp Lange Wapper out front (though my impression of it was a bit cruder than that). We wanted to hit the old printing house and museum, but got there too close to closing to make it worth paying to go in, so we contented ourselves with poking around the gift shop.

Please see photos. Please note that we ate two waffles today.

Oh and a few final points; the nice guy at our hotel gave us turkish treats and made me a really strong and sweet mint tea. Also there is an extremely friendly cat that lives in our hotel. It mews at you for a pat and sits on you whether you like it or not.

... sights to see. Antwerp isn’t a place that I instantly think of a destination to visit, but I might be pleasantly surprised.

Our ETA at Felixstowe is looking to be 10.00 on Thursday 19th April so not long to go now before I set foot again on British soil. I am looking forward to a whole host of things, including a nice pint of proper beer. That said, I am in Belgium at the moment, and they have a good reputation in that department. I’ll let you ...
