Back on the bus in Northern Ireland-a part of the United Kingdom. First stop, Belfast. Belfast is a city known originally for ship building, linen and unfortunately for all it's political strife (aka The Troubles). Our guide, Susie, an expert on Titanic history, walked us through the newly erected Titanic Visitors Center as well as an adjacent building-the original building that housed the ship building firm of Harland and Wolff. It was a crack up and I don't know how he managed to sleep through it! I meant to tell him when he woke up but never did. Once we arrived we all headed out for a bite to eat (and a pint, as you do in Ireland!). Alejandro and I both got an Irish stew and Travis and Dane both got the beef and mushroom pie. The ...

... to hear. You sense that the violence still simmers just below the surface although Belfast has been peaceful for years now. Time was short and we needed to get back to the ship, so there was not time to see where the Titanic was built and launched in Belfast. We'd had a great day - we avoided the rain and our tour guide, Kieran 2, did a fabulous job of showing us the sights and telling us the history. Next up: We leave Ireland and go to Greenock, ...
