... 25min drive to Bangor, which is out to the east coast. We asked the driver what time the last bus, said I'd write it on my hand "don't be doin' that luv, you'll spoil ya skin!" and gave us a timetable. Walked to Ward Park where it was the last Sunday of music in the park from 3-5pm. It was crowded with families old and young, reminded us of the Hatchery Lawn, but much more open and HOT! ... facade. I don't see many office buildings like that back home. We also stopped in a couple of stores along Donegall Place, just north of City Hall, and then re-boarded the bus. Before we headed back to the Republic, however, Matthew took us to a few more places in Belfast to really make the former conflict come to life. We drove to several murals commemorating figures from the IRA and the Irish struggle in the Falls Road area, including the ...

... but feel that I would return someday.

We spent the remainder of our night hanging out in Derry (hitting up our favorite pizza place Paolo’s for the last time!), then headed to Belfast for the night. Two hours on a bus is easy these days. To say the least, we’ve become familiar with the Irish countryside (and loud French babies, for what it’s worth). We arrived in Belfast, made our way back to the house ...
