We had breaky with Clara and Helene while Teresa was out droving the teenage cows. It was lovely chatting with them both! Unexpectedly we were advised to get the van out before the road collapsed. So we quickly packed up and followed Clara out to safety. Unfortunately Teresa was still out droving so we didn't get a chance to say goodbye. The clouds started to clear and the afternoon was beautiful! We drove just over an hour ...

... in Bad Goisern, where i have a huge 4 bed room all to myself. As the so called holiday season is over, the place is very quiet, including the little town.
Bad Goisern is such a lovely quiet town, with a river running next to the town. The mountains are lacking snow, but it is a little early for that.

... Goisern. This was turning out to be the warmest day so far of over 30. After a couple more hours we headed into Bad Goisern to see if we could find ice cream and some relief from the heat. At this stage we had no idea what was to come for the rest of the afternoon as there was little description in the guidebook. We were successful in our ice cream hunt in the middle of town where they were packing up after what must have been a big event on the ...

... cable car. Rob, Mr "I conquered Five Fingers", is so chock full of bravado he marches up to the front of the cable car on each leg...... And loves it. Just like a slow roller coaster. Once down again back on a bus to Hallstatt. We walk around the old town which is just so pretty as most old European towns are. But this one is built into the cliffs next to a massive lake with mountains all around so presents lots of photo opportunity. We find a small cafe and inhale ...
