... hand at an ariel assault course....he came back a shell of his former self after 3 hours in the trees hanging from bits of wire and trying to keep up with 9 year old girls who were more agile than him..for my penance I had to play pitch and putt with Lauren using carved putters and wooden balls..no danger i'll be joining a golf tour anytime soon.
Definitely worth a visit in winter for you keen boarders out there.

... bikes to use, so I rode around the towna nd to surrounding villages for about three hours. It was great. Very relaxing too. There were a lot of bikers out, all Lance Armstongs in the making I think. They all looked very hardcore with their expensive race bikes and tight shorts. Zell Am See is a ski town. It is completely surrounded by lifts etc, but it's in ...
Zell am See, Austrian Alps, Austria burles... br>During the walk there are some amazing sights, such as ice that looks like an elephant, a polar bear, a huge room that looks like a palace (with a floor 8m thick of ice), and a throne room as well. Declan soon found out how cold it was in there (minus 6) when he thought it would be a good idea to take a step off the path and went heel deep into icy slush at the side!!!
Over an hour is spent in the caves, with some quite steep climbs both up and down... we ...
... between the marked trails are far more fun - epic powder is awesome. I freely admit that I'm still not the fastest person on the slopes, but that's not really the issue - having fun is. And have fun is what I have done. I didn't go to the thermal baths last night, so maybe I'll go tonight. Or maybe not. Though after snowboarding through a white-out (lots of snow, and icicles forming on my face) it might be nice... We shall see.
Bad Gastein, Austria coloneljames... on the main hill that are no wider than the average road. It's a pain for me, because I don't have the experience to enjoy myself during those sections- and I end up grinding slowly down and trying not to go over the edge and into the trees. I also have a remarkable inability to go in a straight line, which makes these sections even more frustrating. Put me in a ...
Bad Gastein, Austria coloneljamesStatus update for my first day of snowboarding: Times fallen over: Infinity Times gotten back up: Infinity plus one Time spent having fun: 99.9999999% of the time Body parts that hurt: - Both big toes - Both knees - Left butt cheek - Lower left abdominals - Left wrist My smecksy pants work a treat.... At least until I crash and I end up with snow in your underwear... There's a good chance I'm going to get hooked on this sport. There is quite possibly nothing cooler than the ...
Bad Gastein, Austria coloneljames... materialise from the fog and disappear, or a light would float towards me turning into a cyclist at the last minute before disappearing again. I loved it. Yesterday I went on a paid tour out to the memorial site for the Dachau concentration camp. I could write pages about what I thought, and experienced out there, but I don't have the time right now. Nor do I have the inclination, because I think that my describing what I saw won't do it justice. Moral of ...
Bad Gastein, Austria coloneljames... 10 a night for 3 nights for our own private room, how cool and did i mention we were in the Alps. So what did we do??? Day 1 we rented mountain bikes and rode around for a while, checked out some trails. Then we decided to go Canyoning, and for those of you that don't know what that is, you put a wet suit on, then a heavier one ontop, a life vest and a helmet and you go climbing down a canyon through the rocks ...
Bad Gastein, Austria indigosb... We couldn´t find anywhere that wasn´t either shut or $100 a night, so we asked the question if they fancied a foursome in the van???? Thats for sleeping only folks, before you get any twisted ideas about us, besides they didnt have any car keys to throw into the bowl, ha ha ha!!!!. Wasn´t a lot of room with all the packs and only one bed but they were game. We squished three of us in the bed and Mark drew the short straw and was in his sleeping bag on ...
