... That seems a bit odd. Not sure where the sand would come from. Probably just my eyes. We pass through lots of little villages which are very agricultural. It's so much more satisfying going by train than flying. It's not a cheap way to travel though. A Eurail pass would be the way to go if you're moving around a lot. Tuesday is that day that Bar Sport is closed, so we weren't able to have our obligatory coffee there. Instead we made our way to the ferry terminal and headed for the village of Menaggio (that's MENAGGIO, MENAGGIO for Paul). We wandered throughout the lakeside park and town square for a few hours before jumping on the ferry again and headed for Varenna.
