... after checking in to his hotel, the two of them met back up in the evening inside the stadium. It was not long after this, that it all went wrong, at least for Fabrizio anyway. If the result has escaped your attention, Bayern Munich won by 7-1, a record away win for them, so by the end of the game, the atmosphere was somewhat subdued. ... hadn't realised when we stopped in Bellinzona last night that it is a Unesco World Heritage listed site, as it has 3 magnificent castles built in the 13th, 14th & 15th centuries and surrounded by a high city wall, and then surprisingly the weekend was also Unesco 'open house' weekend, so all buildings were open and free to the public.

... town to town. We first went to Varenna and walked around. Then back to Bellagio for lunch on the lake. Then to Managgio and back again to Bellagio. It's all very beautiful here and we are just taking the opportunity to relax. We will use our balcony this evening for gazing into Lake Como and then tomorrow we make the trek to Strasbourg. Hello there. If you cant remember where we left off it was our last night in Nice.


I hit the jackpot as it was only us 3 in the room for our early morning departure. Old mate Doctor ******** was in his bed snoring away and it was my turn for revenge. I turned the lights on banged doors opened and closed zips repeatedly near his head to try and pester him and wake him up like he had done to us for the previous 3 nights. Nothing doing.
