      A Day in the Life of a Danish Student

      ... giving me a four day weekend which will come in handy when travelling! This week has been made more intense than usual as we have had the Intro activities in the evenings on top of classes. I discovered I was the first New Zealand law student at Aarhus, which was highlighted when the co-ordinater became rather excited after I introduced myself!

      ... into it. I don't think half my groceries would have made it home otherwise! The supermarkets in general offer a much wider range than New Zealand as well - they are a cross between a supermarket, a clothes shop, a stationary shop and a shop like Stevens or Briscoes.

      Life has been a bit of an adventure navigating such differences but this is what the exchange was all about - experiencing a new culture and a new way of life!

      ... of a concrete bunker and contained more expensive furniture that it looked like it could afford, especially since we were the only guests. After another tasty dinner buffet provided by the hostel, we broke up into groups for a journal critique. Since the town was a hike from the hostel, no one felt like going out, but that gave us time to get to know the other design students...and also take advantage of the beer vending machine.

      Next stop Århus!

      ... myself some toiletries... (who knew it was so common to purchase socks & underwear at the supermarket.)
